Grounds Technician needed
A position has arisen for a Permanent Grounds Technician within an established organisation. This role takes responsibility for looking after all grounds within a number of large Estates situated in Bedfordshire.
Your duties will include:
* Planning, scheduling and undertaking proactive grounds maintenance duties to ensure that all areas are kept safe, clean, tidy and welcoming
* Managing and prioritising the works of other Technicians in terms of daily routines and workload, and to develop proposals to further improve the way in which the department delivers a service to the end user
* Introducing trees, shrubs and decorative plants at all sites that will enhance, encourage and attract all forms of various wildlife
* Assisting other members of staff with grass mowing and all aspects of turf care including: aeration, scarification, rolling, top dressing, fertiliser application, weed control and repair work as required on amenity and fine turf areas
* Assisting in all forms of hard landscaping including; fencing, slabbing, decking, terracing and gravelling
The successful candidate should have:
* You must have an appropriate horticulture qualification at level 2 or equivalent
* You must be confident in operating horticultural, tractors, machinery and grass cutting equipment, both rotary and cylinder
* You must have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
* Please note, an Enhanced DBS will be required for this position
