Housing Support Officer * Job Type: 8-12 weeks

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis, providing high-quality resettlement and housing management support to a diverse portfolio of customers, including those with complex needs. This role is pivotal in empowering customers to develop the skills necessary to access and sustain long-term housing solutions.
Day to day of the role: * Engage proactively with customers to support and empower them in developing the necessary skills for long-term housing stability.
* Help support service users with budgeting, benefits, job applications and managing rent accounts.
* Create individualised support packages tailored to customer needs, ensuring the delivery of target outcomes in line with organisational policies and procedures.
* Deliver a proactive housing management service, assisting customers in meeting tenancy conditions, including the payment of rent and service charges.
* Work with customers who may present challenging behaviours, using a patient and understanding approach to overcome difficulties.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate comprehensive support for customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Experience in providing resettlement and housing management support.
* Proven ability to work with challenging individuals and complex needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empower and motivate others.
* Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
