Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in providing 1:1 support to join our enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored educational assistance to students with individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a student, helping them with their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies.
* Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers to monitor and report on student progress.
* Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independence.
* Assist with classroom management and organization.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a 1:1 support role, is essential.
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
