A leading York business are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join their existing team. You would be joining a friendly team who are supportive and inclusive. The Environmental Advisor’s responsibilities will include:
* Provide environmental advice and support to project management teams
* Conduct environmental investigations and site inspections
* Lead the production of Environmental and Social Appraisals (ESA) and Management Plans (ESMP)
* Write reports, mitigation plans, and risk assessments
* Support compliance with ISO14001 and other environmental standards
* Deliver subject matter briefings and training
* Assist in audits and monitoring for environmental performance
Requirements:
* Full UK driving license 
* Be a minimum of a Practitioner member of Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment or working towards; and / or NEBOSH Environmental
* Railway experience in a similar role and full PTS (Personal Track Safety) is an advantage, but not essential
* Good knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice
* Be an excellent communicator with the ability to write clear, concise reports
* Ability to multi-task and work proactively and flexibly in support of changing workloads
* Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
* A relevant undergraduate degree or experience in Environmental management, or equivalent
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
Schedule: Monday to Friday office based, with regular travel across the UK required - you can plan your own diary and car allowance / expenses covered.
