3.5T MULTI-DROP DRIVER/STORE ASSISTANT

Pay rate:
£11.86 per hour
Shift times:
09:00 - 17:00
Manpower is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our National Client based in Hereford for a 3.5T Driver to join their team on a temporary basis with an immediate start!
The role would predominantly be driving, there would also be some Store Assistant duties too.
ROLE AND EXPERIENCE
* Working between Monday and Friday (08:00 - 17:00)
* Delivering paint and decorating supplies to decorators and trade customers via a planned route within a given area.
* General Store Assistant Duties
* Retail - Clerical and Stock Control Duties
* Good customer service skills are essential. Candidates will also ideally have retail experience. DIY experience/knowledge would be preferred but not essential. Candidates need to have a flexible attitude, duties include serving customers, cash handling, computerised till operation, uploading and stocking displays.
REQUIREMENTS
* Must be aged over 21 years old
* Full UK Driving licence with no more than 9 points.
* Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
* Have appropriate PPE (Safety Boots/High Viz Jacket).
* Flexible to support with additional duties e.g., carry out general warehouse/store duties during periods when not occupied in driving duties
* Good knowledge of the local area.
* Multi-drop experience is desirable as there could be anything between 5 and 50 drops a day (depending on demand and the areas).
* Good customer service skills (engaging directly with customers)
* Take orders over the telephone
* Computerised till operation
* Contact customers for orders
* Write customer orders and advice notes
* Carry out general clerical duties as requested by Store Manager
* Forward returns, completed delivery notes etc to Head Office
* Operate Company’s stock control system
