Role Description:
Outsource UK are Partnering with BAE Systems assisting in the recruitment of a Principal Systems Engineer. Utilize your expertise to support submarine design, build, and through-life support programs. Provide advice across various functions to ensure project delivery and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

* Apply maritime legislation and defence standards to meet customer and user needs.
* Report programme status, identify issues, and implement recovery plans.
* Stay updated with industry and academic developments in Systems Engineering.
* Lead and develop others in Systems Integration, System Architecting, and Requirements Management.
* Ensure quality and safety through best practices and suitable toolsets.
* Capture and agree on technical requirements per company processes.
* Deliver compliant technical solutions and design documentation.
* Manage design changes effectively.
* Provide technical input and support to projects beyond immediate scope.
* Contribute to project Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities.
Core Duties:

* Develop Submarine systems, defining architecture, components, and interfaces.
* Ensure comprehensive design proving evidence.
* Support requirements flow-down to suppliers and acceptance of deliverables.
* Develop estimates for work scope and resources for bids and project planning.
* Provide technical support for performance and acceptance activities.
* Document domain knowledge and mentor team members.
* Guide other engineers and support engineering management.
