Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 Plus package (Dependant on experience)

Our client is a leading civils with a strong presence across East Anglia. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities of a Quantity surveyor:
* Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
* Conducting thorough cost analysis, identifying areas for cost savings and providing recommendations to optimise project profitability.
* Managing and negotiating contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
* Collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and adherence to project timelines.
* Conducting regular valuations and progress assessments, ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of work completed.
* Handling variations and claims, assessing their impact on costs and providing recommendations for resolution.
* Monitoring project financial performance, producing reports, and providing timely updates to senior management.
Desirable Experience & Qualification of a Quantity surveyor:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a civil engineering environment.
* Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, contracts, and relevant regulations.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex cost calculations and financial data.
* Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills, enabling productive collaboration with stakeholders.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field are essential.
* A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
* Negotiation and team work skills
* The ability to motivate and lead those on site
* A detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.
