Optimisation Software Engineer (CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress)- Fully Remote- up to £85k + Benefits

Our client a FTSE 50 technology consultancy brand are looking to hire an Optimisation Software Engineer to work on a truly innovative digital training program for the UK defence industry which has been ongoing for the last 2.5 years but has guaranteed funding for the next 3 years and looking to carry on for a lot longer.
The project is designed to move away from an old paper based system to a fully automated solution which helps deliver training courses for hundreds of thousands of employees.
The Optimisation Developer will be part of a team that is responsible for the design, development and testing of this brand new schedule optimisation solution
What we are looking for;
* 4+ years experience with Cplex (can also consider Gurobi or Xpress)
* Background in mathematics (preferably degree level)
* Linear programming, mixed integer programming
* Knowledge of Algorithmics- graph algorithms, approximation algorithms, heuristics, constraints programming, dynamic programming
* Performance tuning
* Java (desirable)

The team working on this specific program is currently 15 and they are looking to add a further 2 Developers to the team.
