Our client based in St Helens is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a thriving finance team. The role will involve managing numerous accounting tasks, working as part of a dedicated finance function.
Description
The Assistant Accountant will;
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
* Participate in the monthly closing process
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
* Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities
* Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
* Assist with internal and external auditing procedures
* Adhere to company policies and regulations
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
* Actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong analytical skills
* A keen eye for detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Interest in the energy and natural resources industry
