Job Description:
Position: Senior Data Analyst
Location: Derby (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £50K (DOE)
Data analysis in the housing sector is a non negotiable for this role.
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be essential in measuring, evaluating, analysing, interpreting, and benchmarking the organisation’s performance. Your role will involve supporting strategic decision-making through framing key questions and delivering recommendations, forecasts, and models based on thorough analysis and valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting data analysis to uncover trends and insights, offering actionable recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.
* Collaborating with senior stakeholders to formulate hypotheses and questions aligned with business goals, using statistical methods to validate assumptions and support evidence-based decision-making.
* Overseeing monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scorecard production for leadership and quarterly reporting for the Board and Customer Committee, providing trend analysis and insightful commentary.
* Managing the relationship with House mark, interpreting data for senior leaders, and coordinating an annual feedback session.
* Performing annual and ad-hoc benchmarking against sector benchmarks to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
* Analysing performance data to identify strengths and improvement opportunities, providing constructive challenges to senior colleagues.
* Coordinating regulatory submissions and supporting automation efforts in performance management and reporting, including transitioning reporting to PowerBI.
* Continuously refining KPI frameworks and improving reporting methods across the organisation.
Key Skills:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Familiarity with basic statistical methods like median and quartile.
* Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
* Robust problem-solving capabilities.
* Experience in conducting exploratory data analysis across diverse datasets.
* Competence in SQL and Power BI for data manipulation and visualisation.
Experience:
* 5 years of data analysis experience in the housing sector.
* Track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving measurable outcomes.
* Experience in developing and overseeing performance measurement frameworks and KPIs.
