Position: Interim Management Accountant
Duration: 6 months
Day Rate: £300-£350 per day
Location: Central London (parking available on site)
Work Arrangement: 4 days a week in the office, flexible work-from-home day
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a developing finance team. This is a newly created role designed to provide additional support during a period of growth and transformation. The ideal candidate will be someone who can handle a broad range of accounting tasks and is ready to step up to more senior responsibilities within a short period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage monthly management accounts.
- Handle month-end closing processes.
- Assist in financial consolidation and reporting.
- Provide support in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
- Collaborate with team members to support various finance functions.
- Support the Financial Controller in ad hoc financial projects and analysis.
- Liaise with auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and eager to take on new challenges.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
