Job Description:
My client is looking for a creative individual to fill the role of Media Account Director, to work in their marketing agency in London on a hybrid basis.
As an Account Director at the agency, you will be a key leader overseeing major property-specific pillar clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, taking charge of additional smaller brands as needed. Responsibilities include managing an assigned Account Manager, ensuring adherence to SLAs, and presenting new ideas, digital stats, and reports in client meetings.
You will drive agency growth and values, overseeing schedule optimisation and client communication. Collaborating with senior management, you will champion best practices, foster media relationships, and drive innovation. Delegating tasks appropriately, you’ll contribute to recruitment and employee management, offering coaching and growth opportunities. Your role involves sharing knowledge, ensuring policy compliance, and handling administrative tasks. Overall, you will play a crucial role in shaping the agency’s success and fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
Job responsibilities
* Take the lead on key property-specific pillar clients, serving as their primary contact
* Assume leadership for smaller client brands as needed, demonstrating adaptability and strategic acumen
* Attend client meetings to present innovative ideas, digital insights, strategic plans, and media research
* Drive agency strategy for growth and uphold core values in client interactions
* Optimise schedules to secure the best prices and ensure transparent reporting to clients
* Collaborate with the Group Account Director and Client Services Director to champion best practices and operational efficiency
* Cultivate strong relationships with media supplier partners and partner agencies
* Drive innovation by introducing and fostering an understanding of new ideas and concepts
* Work with senior management to manage long-term client strategies and contribute to overall agency direction
* Oversee your assigned Account Manager, ensuring adherence to SLAs and client expectations
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for new team members
* Manage and support employees in line with company policies and procedures.
* Provide coaching and opportunities for career growth to direct reports, encouraging creativity and collaboration
* Share knowledge and experience across teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning
* Be prepared for occasional unsocial hours, early starts, late finishes, and travel to client meetings to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction
Requirements
* A Degree in Marketing, Business or any other relevant degree which includes a marketing element is desirable but not essential
* Account management experience at a senior level, particularly within media agency environment
* Significant experience in professional client’s relationship management, ideally in the property sector
* Experience of creating new business opportunities
* Experience of handling a variety of accounts and dealing with a number of different stakeholders
* Previous experience of managing a small team
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
* Must have sound digital knowledge and be competent in the planning of all media channels and their role in achieving client objectives
