About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £47,600 - £71,600 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We are embedding new ways of working in our Operational Technology (OT) teams, and across Technology, Digital & Data (TD&D) to enable us to deliver our Distribution ED2 portfolio.
The Delivery Manager will be responsible for managing a range of operational, capital and strategic projects across OT. A vital part of the role is delivering efficiencies and change needed to sustain our progress across ED2. They will manage the end-to-end delivery of complex technology and change projects through the use of relevant and best practice methodologies, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.
Key to the role is to manage the operational aspects of the solution delivery teams, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met.
The Delivery Manager will need to be focused on realising the project objectives, key results and other value targets defined on the roadmap they are responsible for.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders at all levels and business teams to ensure that interfaces work correctly.
- Manage the delivery of technology solutions with focus on tangible business outcomes in accordance with the appropriate methodology.
- Manage cross project and external dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery point of view.
- Analyse problems, action and progress issues as appropriate, ensuring follow through to resolution.
- Provide regular updates against the defined outcomes to demonstrate performance and progress against the project roadmap.
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Relevant practitioner qualifications desirable, degree level education desired.
- Ability to work in environments that are undergoing change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.
- Demonstrable experience of applying appropriate delivery frameworks and methods, in particular Agile, but also including the likes of Prince2, APM and PMP.
- Ability to articulate an environment that supports SSE’s vision and values, whilst encouraging innovation.
- Demonstrable experience of having successfully delivered initiatives with tangible business value.
