Job Description:
Purchase Ledger Clerk – 30K – West Manchester
I am keen to speak to AP / Senior AP individuals to join a rapidly growing business based in West Manchester. This is a brand new role within the team working alongside another Purchase Ledger, due to growth from an acquisition.
This will be a busy role, but a straightforward one for someone with the right experience. The ideal individual will have a Stock / Manufacturing / retail background, and experience in dealing with foreign currencies.

Key tasks
* posting cash payments
* posting invoices
* performing supplier statement reconciliations
* preparing payment runs and reviewing the payment runs of the other Clerk
* Reconciling credit card statements and providing audit support
* A large part of the role will include 3-way matching.
Candidate Profile
* Experience in purchase ledger is essential
* The candidate will have worked in a manufacturing or stock-centric business;
* The candidate will have worked with Far East suppliers (i.e. is familiar with deposit and upfront payments and resulting debit balances on the ledger)
* They will be motivated to solve problems, liaise with the wider business and look for process improvements along the way
