Job Description:
I am looking for a Lab Support Technician to work with this wonderful #scientific business passionate about improving the quality of life and health of people around the world through the pursuit of new speciality medicines.
This role will be supporting scientific and operations activities including maintaining operational stock, assisting with logistics, running of autoclaves, maintenance of glassware and management of critical R & D supplies. You will also help out with the office/lab furniture & lab equipment logistics in the building.
If you also have experience in the preparation of buffer solutions, this would be advantageous.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm in this state of the art R & D centre located in the heart of the Cambridge science cluster.
What do we require from you:
* Experience in a similar role within a scientific setting
* Attention to detail, along with good literacy and numeracy skills are essential
* Hands-on approach & practical skills are essential (manual handling training will be provided)
* Good level of computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Proactive & resourceful; able to manage varied workloads as part of the team and independently, without close supervision or instruction. Able to identify & implement improvements in working practices.
* The post holder will be responsible for adhering to all health and safety guidance, as provided by the company
What can you expect in return:
* Salary of £23,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience
* 25 days annual leave in addition to public holidays plus the option to purchase an additional 5 days each year
