Job Description:
An international, consumer goods and retail business in the fashion industry is currently seeking a new Financial Accountant to join their fats pace team.
This is an exciting, hands-on role offering broad exposure for someone who is looking to make the move out of audit and into industry. Responsibilities include:
* Preparation and consolidation of the management accounts and monthly management reporting
* Preparing the balance sheet reconciliations and complex workpapers
* Partnering with parent company on input submissions, reconciliations and group consolidations and intercompany balances.
* Management of tax filings such as VAT returns, for the UK, European and APAC entities.
* Reporting for smaller subsidiaries international subsidiaries including variance analysis and providing commentaries.
* Work closely and collaboratively with finance colleagues and support with any requests.
* Support on year-end tasks and audit.
* Manage, coach, and develop the Assistant Accountant
* Ad hoc reporting, duties, and analysis from senior management team.
The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified and have experience working in audit - looking to make the move to an in-house finance role in industry. Candidates who have strong technical and financial accounts experience working in industry will also be considered. Ideally you will have solid accounting experience and good working knowledge of stat accounts, consolidations, and tax. Candidates must be driven, with the ability to use initiative and problem solve. Being up to date with accounting standards is key, and strong systems and Excel skills are highly beneficial.
