Accounts Assistant

My client is an established and successful business, enjoying a period of significant growth, now looking to recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Leger Clerk to support the Finance Director.
The main focus of this role will be to support within Accounts Payable, processing invoices through the system, whilst also having crossover with Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger, opening accounts, supporting with bank reconciliations etc.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who has some experience gained within a similar role, who is keen to learn and develop with a company that can offer further development.
Accounts Assistant – Responsibilities

* Processing a high volume of invoices
* Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system
* Bank reconciliations
* Prepare and process payment runs
* Assist with vendor setup and maintenance in the accounting system
* Dealing with suppliers, supporting the wider team with incoming calls and emails
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
Package Includes: Salary circa £25,000, 24 days holiday + bank holidays, pension

What we need from you?

* Experience gained within a similar Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
* A can do attitude, keen to learn
* Confident in the use of Excel
* Good attention to detail
* A real team player, with the ability to also operate independently
