We are looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join our Adult Operations and Mental Health Services team. The role involves providing professional Social Work services to adult customers, promoting their choice and control, and managing complex caseloads with high levels of risk.
Day to Day of the Role:

Manage a complex caseload and demonstrate expert social work practice.

Assess and manage high levels of risk, balancing support and control to protect people from harm.

Chair meetings such as Best Interests and Discharge Planning and offer expert support to case conferences.

Produce high-quality assessments and reports.

Mentor newly qualified social workers and provide support and guidance to junior staff.

Work flexibly to meet unplanned service requirements, including weekend and bank holiday work on a rota basis.

Travel within and outside the Borough as required, occasionally transporting customers or colleagues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Recognised Social Work qualification (SW degree, DipSW, CQS, CSS or equivalent).

Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.

Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Experience in supporting and assessing under hospital discharge policy and major incidents.

Understanding of health and social care legislation, guidance, and policy.

Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.

Experience in writing reports and analysing information.

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.

Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments with critical reflection and analysis.
