About the role:
As a Pensions Client Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery trusteeship, governance, administration and other operational services to a portfolio of Defined Benefits clients. Key responsibilities will involve:
* Project management of a portfolio of pension schemes and specific projects being undertaken such as Buy in & Buy Outs, Data and GMP exercises
* The delivery of all aspects of pension scheme governance to ensure full compliance / no breaches.
* Attendance of client and trustee meetings.
* Monitoring compliance with the scheme business plan and address issues.
* Involvement with business growth, writing blogs and articles for marketing purposes, assisting and delivering client seminars.
* Identify and share opportunities for product and service enhancements through client proposition and revenue opportunities.
Experience required:
* Defined Benefits experience with understanding of pensions management
* Strong technical understanding of pension legislation, regulations, and other relevant legislation including scheme management and compliance
* Budget management skills
* Project management experience, ability to prioritise and work to client deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical points.
Desirable criteria:
* Attainment of the Pensions Regulators Trustee Toolkit
* Working towards or successfully completed a relevant professional qualification such as APMI or FPMI
* Experience of new business activity including new business pitches, networking and attending industry events.
