They are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their dedicated team.
Role Overview:
As a key member of the finance department, the Finance Assistant will support financial operations, maintain accurate records, and assist with reporting and analysis to ensure the fiscal health of the company’s diverse retail projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage discrepancies.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
* Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* AAT qualification or currently studying towards a finance-related qualification
* Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in retail
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
* Proactive and willing to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
