This Firm are one of the most prominent UK and international law firms in the country, providing excellent legal services to a variety of business and individuals. The firm has offices across the country, however, have a growing global network. The firm consists of 140+ partners and more than 800 professionals, with a strong reputation for expertise in sectors such as technology, private wealth, shipping and real estate.
The planning team are recognised for their excellent advice and guidance on all aspects of the planning process, including strategic and local plan work, applications, appeals, enforcement, and High Court challenges, including judicial review.
The planning lawyers also work closely with the firm’s real estate and dispute resolution teams, meaning they can offer a comprehensive range of services for all commercial developers, banks and other funders, house builders and minerals and waste operators as well as private individuals carrying out or objecting to developments and charitable and educational institutions.
The firm’s Commercial Real Estate team are looking to recruit a 1 - 4 PQE Planning Associate. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and highways law (preference for a candidate with some local planning authority and or local highway authority experience).
The successful candidate will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as progression opportunities. The team have some very exciting projects, excellent work and loyal clients and they are looking for people that recognise the importance of balancing technical skill with outstanding client service.
Scope of work: planning (applications, strategic, certificate of lawful use/development, s106, permitted development rights, local plans, neighbourhood plans), CIL and the proposed Infrastructure Levy, biodiversity, nitrate and phosphate mitigation and constraints on development, highways agreements and advice on highways and rights of way, stopping up and diversion of highways and rights of way, traffic management orders, compulsory purchase orders and compensation and working with RE colleagues on planning due diligence.
