Product Controller / Trade Accountant - Commodities Trading Firm (3+ Month Contract)

As we undergo a significant transformation of our internal IT system, we are seeking a dedicated individual to lead our data cleanse, develop efficient controls for new business, and spearhead our 2025 net revenue budgeting process. Role Responsibilities
* Reconcile between trading and accounting systems, investigating and resolving any differences.
* Update trade details as necessary, including addendums, change of origin, and cost estimates.
* Ensure adherence to control processes, ensuring contracts and changes align with the trading system
* Lead the revenue budget process for 2025 and develop a five-year plan
* Resolve trade/operations queries
* Collaborate with the team to review and cleanse data sets, suggesting improvements for enhanced outputs.
* Transform month-end revenue reporting across group entities.
* Lead changes to product data, suggesting revisions and control processes for ongoing growth.
* Opportunity to contribute to the development and testing of a new trading stream.
* Perform profitability analysis by location, trade, and counterparty.
* Monitor inter-company balances and review balance sheets.
* Provide coverage for Product Control duties for other trading lines as needed.
* Support the external audit process.
Selection Criteria

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications:
* 2-5 years post-qualified accountant experience.
* Experience in a similar product controller / trade accounting role
* Strong analytical and communication skills, with an interest in developing commercial acumen.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power BI, with strong IT skills
