Job description
Key responsibilities include:
* Month-end activities: * Perform accounting processes across the organisation
* Prepare journal entities
* Prepare analysis and provide insight into areas of focus
* Working within internal reporting deadlines
* Making recommendation to improve and simplify processes
* Liaise with Senior Stakeholders and influence decision making across the organisation

* Control: * Implements an effective internal control framework
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting and resolving any issues
* Ensuring compliance with SOx and other regulatory requirements
* Liaising with auditors and providing evidence and supporting narrative as required

* Process Improvement and Automation * Ensures work is performed efficiently
* Identified opportunities to improve & simplifies processes
* Works collaboratively to standardise processes
* Works with automation teams to automate processes

The successful applicant
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
* Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (Desirable)
* Experience of working within large corporate structures.
* Strong excel and financial systems skills (eg. Oracle, Hyperion/HFM)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and develop others
* Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines
