Music Lecturer * Salary: £20-£30 per hour
* Location: Wolverhampton
* Contract: 0.9, Temporary (potential for temp to perm)
We are seeking a Music Lecturer to join a vibrant college in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Music Technician Qualification on a 0.9 temporary contract. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for music and education, and who possess a blend of technical and creative skills in music production and business.
Day-to-day of the role: * Deliver engaging and informative lessons on a Music Technician Qualification.
* Utilise recording studio equipment and software to teach students about live sound production and music creation.
* Provide insights into the music business, preparing students for industry expectations.
* Teach and guide students in using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), with a focus on Logic Pro X.
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
* Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Level 3 qualification in Music, or equivalent.
* Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, or equivalent.
* Hold a teaching qualification or be currently working towards one.
* Proficient in recording studio operations and live sound production.
* Knowledgeable about the music business.
* Skilled in using DAWs, particularly Logic Pro X.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
