Administration Assistant
Manchester City Centre
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am – 5pm or 9am – 6pm, Monday – Friday
My client a North West based electrical and mechanical engineering contractor, boasting a prolific portfolio spanning all manner of works, including lighting, heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, power, communications, security, and much more, offering services in conception and design, procurement, project management, installation, commissioning and hand over, through to preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs.
Due to expansion, currently seeking an Administration Assistant. You will be part of a busy team, dealing directly with the companies Director.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in PA duties, ideally with a track record working within the industry.

The successful candidate will need to keep pace with change and have expertise, working collaboratively and flexibly, within cross-functional teams on start-stop initiatives to deliver on our performance objectives. These initiatives will be varied and value-generating, providing an exciting opportunity to drive performance in an influential role.
Key responsibilities
* Acting as a first point of contact for visitors, emails & phone calls
* Setting reminders for meetings, appointments and other important tasks
* Assist in preparing reports, maintaining a filing system
* Attending meetings & taking notes/minutes
* Website & social media input and tasks
* Liaising with other members of staff and external parties such as clients & small works teams
* Admin support for the Small works team, inputting data into company software and other administrative duties
* Office based duties to ensure smooth operation & use of office facilities for other staff members
* Miscellaneous tasks to support the business
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role
* Personable with good communication skills, including being confident in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* A switched-on, motivated and enthusiastic team player
* Diligent but efficient working practices
* Able to work towards deadlines and with a strong eye for detail
* Discretion and trustworthiness: you will often be party of confidential information
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
* The ability to be proactive and take the initiative
* Flexibility and adaptability
* A knowledge of standard software packages and the ability to learn company-specific software if required.
