Job Description:
Role Overview
The role sits in the PM IT team within our Property Management Division, focussed on delivering aspects of the Green Charter which require data analysis. The position supports departments across the division, surveyors and site teams with ESG performance improvement.

The role will support teams to improve portfolio and asset level sustainability performance, lead on strategic deliverables and support Surveyors and Client Relationship Managers with growing strong client relationships through data insights.

The Savills’ Property Management Green Charter group set out to ensure we manage assets with a strong ESG foundation. Alongside this, Savills has ambitious plans to improve data accuracy, and provide best in class reporting to clients.

Key Responsibilities

 The successful candidate should have an understanding of environmental, social and corporate governance, sustainability issues and trends for the built environment. They should have experience of ESG data processing and performance reporting.

An ESG Data and Analytics Manager will be required to undertake (including but not limited to);

Data Management
• Oversee and manage the process of collating Savills PM ESG data through various platforms and research providers
• Help to identify potential gaps in our reporting and data, seek out new data sources and proactively provide suggestions to the ESG Strategy Director and wider business to take appropriate action
• Identify new available sources of data to provide a more extensive scope of ESG solutions
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within reports, troubleshooting and resolving issues with report performance and discrepancies

Power BI Development
• Maintain and update existing Power BI reports and dashboard
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboard when new data becomes available
• Support the integration of ESG dashboard on the Client Portal
• Assist in the development and roll-out of ESG Dashboards to European Markets

Data Modelling
• Integrate data sources from various sources (proficiency in SQL is a must)
• Develop and optimise data models to ensure robust and effective reporting
• Proficient in DAX and Power Query for complex calculations and data transformation

Data Analysis
• Develop analytical features for our Dashboards, e.g., carbon analysis, degree days and CREEM
• An understanding/proficiency in leveraging Python to develop machine-learning models
• Through data analysis, identify potential areas of opportunity and risk across the business by actively providing insight back to the business on stakeholders’ ambitions about sustainability and ESG

Data Reporting
• Produce ESG reports and performance against performance targets in line with our Green Charter Strategy for departments, e.g., energy, water and waste.

Collaboration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss new requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
• Work with other internal teams such as PM IT to ensure reports function effectively on the internal live working environment/client-facing platforms
• Support the promotion of the Green Charter and work closely with key areas of the business including IT, Risk, HR, and Corporate Sustainability, to ensure our performance and data are accurate and captured centrally for the required purposes

Other
• Develop and update internal resources such as user guides, training videos and technical documentation
• As the ESG data ’point of contact’, provide training/workshops on request and promote the use of data and technology across the division
• Lead the annual REEB data submission internally
• Support the bid and tender process within the PM division and the wider business where sustainability and ESG statistics are required
• Play a critical part in contributing to Savills PM reporting requirements by taking an active role in ensuring our non-financial performance is accurate and consistent, e.g. Annual Report. ESG report, Gender Pay Gap report etc;
• Delegate tasks and support junior staff   
Key Skills
• Strong attention to detail and produces work to a high, consistent and accurate standard.
• Ability to independently prepare findings reports and presentations, and to identify new ways of working.
• Ability to develop lasting and effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

• Resourceful team worker, with ability to be autonomous in certain specialist fields.
• Good English, grammar, spelling and document checking skills.

Required
• BSc in data-related degree e.g. Environmental Science, Data Science, IT, Economics
• A high level of competence in Power BI (inc. PowerQuery) experienced with data analysis, excellent attention to detail and the ability to create complex DAX formulas.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and data analysis libraries
• At least 3 years’ experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with sustainability data, including knowledge of energy, water, waste & carbon.
• Knowledge and experience in applying sustainability in the property sector.
• Completely IT literate with a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desired
• Knowledge of machine learning
• Knowledge of sustainability certifications and programmes e.g. GRESB, BBP REEB
