Job Description:
REED HR is delighted to support our client a leading manufacturer who wishes to appoint a HR Director into a new role that will contribute to the overall business strategy & build functional & operational systems for people planning. As HR Director you will be involved in attracting, developing & retaining outstanding talent & driving organisational performance Working closely with senior management, you will influence the culture of the business through creating & implementing an inspiring people strategy. Responsibilities. HR STRATEGY . • Contribute to develop the strategy & build the people strategy in support of current & future needs. • Engage with operational aspects of the business & gain an understanding of the needs to be met by the HR strategy. • Build close working relationships with senior management & propose & agree the rules of engagement for excellent HR business partnership. • Support change management agenda, embedding a continuous improvement ethos through coaching, training, & process implementation. TALENT MANAGEMENT. • Design & develop a talent management process to identify, develop, engage, retain & deploy employees. • Liaise with business to agree & drive the people engagement strategy. • Contribute to succession planning through a systematic talent management process. • Ensure identified skills gaps are addressed in a cost-effective manner & report on return on investment. • Support the Owner & GM to develop the senior team acting as the focal point of activities. • Identify learning & development needs & implement L&D initiatives to meet the needs. • Develop, implement & oversee an employee / manager development programme. • Ensure training & development initiatives are fulfilled to enable Training to maintain records. CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT . •Liaise with senior team on co-ordination & implementation of the company’s DE&I strategy/social value initiatives . •Champion employee engagement by identifying & addressing engagement trends. RECRUITMENT & SELECTION. • Ensure recruitment is in accordance with the plan, policies & budgets in line with business priorities . • Ensure the recruitment process is conducted professionally so the best candidates are appointed & inducted to become a successful & profitable employee . • Maintain a strategic relationship with stakeholders & ensure they are fully aware of the group & potential recruitment needs  . HR POLICY & COMPLIANCE & LEADERSHIP. • Have a strong understanding of HR law relating to contracts, terms & conditions, discrimination, fair dismissal, grievances. • Provide HR advice & guidance, coach & support to the senior management team & other senior leaders. Ensure a consistent approach & develop good HR practice . • Manage a small HR team to deliver consistent standards & compliance . • Ensure compliant practices & procedures are in line with industry best practice . • Provide reports to senior management team encompassing agreed KPI’s. ESSENTIAL. Min of 5 years’ experience working as a HR Manager. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, delivering high quality service & results. Associate CIPD. Experience as business partner for senior executives & uphold confidentiality at all times. Excellent communicator able to communicate & engage with all levels of management. IT literate – proficient in MS package & manage HRIS systems. Experience in collating data to write reports & present to senior team . DESIRABLE Chartered CIPD or working towards
