This is a co-educational secondary school, catering to students aged 11-16 years old (Key Stages 3 and 4). This school caters to secondary aged children with Autism, ADHD, and PMLD (Profound, Multiple Learning Difficulties). Requirements
* Resilient, caring, and dedicated individual committed to supporting SEN learners in an educational setting
* Experience in care or education
* Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)-this is essential
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad - this is essential
* Provide 2 professional references - this is essential
* Passion for working with SEN children
* Relevant GCSE, ’A’ level or graduate qualifications or equivalent
Responsibilities
* Supporting KS3-KS4 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group, and classroom basis
* Attend student’s personal needs and offer guidance on welfare matters
* Assisting learners with severe and complex needs
* Collaborating with the teacher to support learning objectives
* Prepare materials of the quality and quantity specified by the teacher
* Support behaviour management at the beginning and end of lessons and during lesson transfer
* Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, challenging, and tailored educational activities aligned with a diverse and comprehensive curriculum
* Help Children to reach their full potential across all learning domains
