Description
* Keep an eye on stock levels and make sure they’re steady.
* Negotiate material costs to get the best deals.
* Review and analyse the costs of manufactured goods.
* Price products according to customer needs.
* Maximize profit margins for all product lines.
* Understand the margin mix across SKUs to balance sales revenue and margin.
* Know how operational processes affect manufacturing costs.
* Be knowledgeable about materials and substrates.
* Support the Production Manager by processing WOPs and monitoring stock.
* Balance product quality with customer requirements.
* Be familiar with key suppliers, especially their pricing and product quality.
* Respond quickly to customer requests and prioritise important customers.
* Communicate effectively with the Finance, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and Production teams.
* Maximise margins on all quotations.
* Ensure product prices are competitive yet profitable.
* Track sales trends and performance of our manufactured products.
* Meet conversion targets set by the Estimating Manager.
* Negotiate fixed price periods with suppliers.
* Find and implement cost-saving opportunities.
* Report costs accurately within budget and deadlines.
* Follow buying processes within agreed timelines and targets.
* Monitor supplier quality and performance, and give timely feedback.
* Keep all data and documentation accurate and up-to-date.
Profile
* Experience in a similar administrative role
* Proficiency in MS Office and database management
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* A proactive and problem-solving attitude
