KS1 Maternity Cover Teacher (November 2024 - July 2025) KS1 Maternity Leave Cover Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2)

Randstad are working with a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in the heart of Watford, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for both staff and pupils. The school takes pride in prioritising well-being and promoting healthy eating habits throughout our school community. There is a strong commitment to continuous professional development and the school ensures that staff have access to regular CPD opportunities and collaborative planning time.
The Role The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 teacher to cover a maternity leave position, teaching either Year 1 or Year 2, from November 2024 until July 2025. You will work closely with your year group partner to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, fostering a love for learning in our young students.
Key Responsibilities * Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being principles of the school
* Collaborate with colleagues during weekly PPA time to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of the curriculum
* Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and supportive communication regarding pupils’ progress and well-being
