A multi-disciplinary building contractor based in London, specialising in refurbishment and new build projects in the Commercial (Leisure, Healthcare, Retail, Education, Government) and Social Housing Regeneration sectors, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with over 5 years of experience who is looking to further their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. The office is based in Woodford, with occasional site visits.
The Quantity Surveyor’s Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will join a highly skilled team and take responsibility for a variety of exciting projects. Working across sectors including leisure, education, retail, healthcare, and housing, the Quantity Surveyor will be expected to manage project costs, ensure value for money, and enhance overall project quality. This role involves liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget. Additionally, the Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in risk management and procurement strategies.
The Quantity Surveyor
* Must have 5+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
* Experience in Commercial (Leisure, Healthcare, Retail, Education, Government) and Social Housing Regeneration projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods and technologies.
* Proficient in cost planning, project management, and risk assessment.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Must hold a valid driving licence.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
