Job Description:
In this pivotal role, you will lead the FP&A function, providing crucial financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape the financial strategy and support decision-making processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the FP&A team, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
* Develop and implement robust financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
* Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
* Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
* Drive the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
* Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.
* Evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration planning.
* Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Key Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in a senior FP&A role, preferably within the insurance industry.
* Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
* Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
* Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
