Job Description:
Rapidly growing Financial Services business is seeking a dedicated ALM Manager specializing in Liquidity Risk to join its Asset & Liability Management (ALM) team within the Balance Sheet Control divisionRole Description As a specialist in liquidity risk management, you will be pivotal in shaping the company’s liquidity risk appetite and policy. You will serve as the subject matter expert in producing the Society’s Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) and will provide invaluable support to your colleagues with your extensive expertise. This position does not involve line management responsibilities, and the ideal candidate will have Retail Financial Services experience and come from a Small-Medium sized Bank or Building Society.
Key Responsibilities * Liquidity Risk Management: Enhance and oversee the liquidity risk framework, ensuring a thorough understanding and continuous improvement.
* Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and interpret their impact on the organisation.
* Balance Sheet Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s balance sheet to ensure informed decision-making.
* Risk Culture Advocacy: Promote a positive risk management culture and support team members with your knowledge and insights.
Ideal Candidate Profile * Profound knowledge of internal and external liquidity risk metrics and regulatory requirements.
* Familiarity with the banking book and financial market products, coupled with a broad understanding of finance and balance sheet management.
* Proven track record in producing and navigating an ILAAP through company governance.
* Ability to update policies to reflect industry and regulatory changes, ensuring firm-wide adherence.
* Competent in delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines, with effective stakeholder engagement.
* Strong ability to communicate, engage, and influence stakeholders, clearly articulating business requirements.
* Eager to mentor and inspire colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable skillset
