Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Role: Primary SEN based, 1-1 support
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Burgess Hill. The role involves close 1-1 work with students who have special educational needs (SEN), providing them with the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with students on a 1-1 basis, providing personalized support.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
* Support the classroom teacher in managing student behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
* Engage with children in a respectful and supportive manner, encouraging their participation in school activities.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s education.
Contract Details:
* Start Date: September 2024
* Contract Type: Temporary with the potential for a permanent position
* Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
* Pay Rate: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
