The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to individuals with acute medical conditions, building relationships, and addressing their physical and emotional needs while ensuring the delivery of effective treatment.
Responsibilities:
* Providing care to individuals with acute medical conditions, building relationships, and addressing their physical and emotional needs while ensuring the delivery of effective treatment.
* Administering prescribed medications and treatments to patients and diligently monitoring their progress.
* Dealing with the specific symptoms of mental illness, de-escalating stressful situations, and helping patients overcome challenges.
* Building relationships with, reassuring, listening to, and talking to patients.
* Liaising with doctors, social workers, and other professionals.
* Interacting with patients’ families and caregivers, offering advice and information on patients’ conditions.
* Preparing and maintaining patients’ records, producing care plans, and risk assessments.
Desirable:
* Robust clinical knowledge, strong initiative, and a proactive approach to work.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Honesty and integrity, and a very caring patient-centred approach.
