Conveyancing Fee Earner - Dulverton

Role Responsibilities:

- Undertake all aspects of fee-earning work with the required skills and knowledge to carry out your duties effectively.
- Provide a profitable contribution to the department and the firm as a whole.
- Ensure the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan.

Key Tasks:

- Conduct matters on behalf of clients in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner.
- Comply with SRA and COLP/COFA Rules, and adhere to the firm’s Policies and Procedures.
- Manage files to CQS Standard, ensuring accurate use of the case management system.
- Utilise software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to produce correspondence, documents, and records.
- Supervise fee-earning work undertaken by colleagues, if directed by the COLP.
- Manage support services, including supervision of para-legal/secretary/assistant.
- Participate in marketing activities, including providing material for the firm’s website.
- Maintain financial control, ensuring prompt closure of files and activation of feedback requests.
- Maintain clear and concise written communications, meeting all deadlines and responding promptly to telephone calls.
- Attend file reviews, department, and staff meetings, unless absence is authorised by a partner.
- Stay updated with changes in the law, participate in compulsory compliance training, and develop skills of self and other staff members.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Minimum of 2 years PQE experience in conveyancing.
- Strong knowledge of SRA and COLP/COFA Rules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and supervise support staff effectively.
