Generally, your responsibilities will include examining drawing and specifications to ensure the right practices and procedures are followed.. . Working in a precision engineering environment you will have a thorough understanding of engineering processes and procedures and be well placed to positively advise your engineering colleagues.. . The Role:. * Examine drawings and specifications to determine appropriate method and sequence of operations. * Marks out reference points using measuring instruments. * Operate hand and machine tools to shape workpieces to specifications and checks accuracy of machining. * Excellent knowledge of engineering practices and procedures with an understanding of grinding. * Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings. * Maintaining effective communication with clients and engineering teams. * Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm (Friday 12.30 Finish). The Person:. * Experienced mechanical fitter from an engineering or manufacturing background. * Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical beneficial. * Commutable to Chorley.
