Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to start a new role in Tameside, Greater Manchester.
As a Personal Advisor in a Leaving Care Team, you will support young people transitioning from the care system to independent living.
You do not need to be a driver but must be willing to travel around Tameside and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
* To work within statutory guidelines and the departments guidelines relating to young people leaving care including asylum seeking children and young people.
* To take part in the office based duty system.
* To undertake direct work with young people and others who are relevant in their lives.
* To implement child protection procedures where children and young people may be at risk.
* To work with children and young people to maximise their involvement in community based activity that will benefit them into adulthood.
Applicant Requirements:
* Experience: Working with Cared for Children and Care Leavers
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Care of children and young people/NNEB/BTECE
* Compliance: Enhanced Childrens DBS, Right to Work in the UK
* Hours: 36 hours a week
* Travel: Full UK driving license (desirable)
