About the Role

Base Location: Perth or Glasgow
Salary: up to £40,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
We have an exciting opportunity to join SSE’s Investor Relations team which is responsible for proactively managing the relationship, communication and engagement with SSE and its shareholders.   The Investor Relations team plays a pivotal role in shaping the groups’ perception in the public markets, by ensuring that it effectively and objectively conveys SSE’s financial performance and strategic goals in line with market requirements.
As Investor Relations Analyst, you’ll support the Director of Investor Relations as well as the wider Group Executive, Corporate Affairs, Sustainability and Strategy teams by facilitating the two-way flow of financial analysis and communication, while promoting effective dialogue between the financial community and the senior management team.  The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintaining relationships with the financial analyst community as well as effective relationships with SSE stakeholders.
- Interpreting and summarising sell-side analyst research notes.
- Leading on the KPI collection process and contributing to the delivery of financial results materials.
- Contributing to any RNS and other market or regulatory statements.
- Providing support to the Executive Team and Director of Investor Relations in their market facing roles.
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Working towards, or soon to be working towards, a recognised financial qualification such as CFA or accountancy, as well as a relevant degree qualification in finance, business, or a related field.
- Understanding of financial analysis, financial markets, and accounting principles (UK IFRS).
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into easily understandable language.
- Awareness of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
About our Business

The Investor Relations Team is responsible for proactively managing the relationship and communication between SSE and its shareholders. To facilitate this, the Investor Relations team undertakes an annual programme of activity; and ongoing communication with analysts, proxy advisors, ESG ratings agencies and financial ratings agencies to help improve disclosure and allow shareholders to better assess SSE’s performance.
