The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Instructor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering tailored English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes positive behaviour.
* Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and development.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEMH education.
* Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in English or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential; relevant teaching experience will be considered.
* Experience working with students who have SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of SEMH and the strategies used to support students with these needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
