Payroll Officer.
Annual Salary: £28,600 + excellent benefits
Location: Central London
Job Type: Full-time - Hybrid on offer - 2 days in the office 3 days WFH per week
My client a recognised Charity have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join their friendly and welcoming team. This role is integral in supporting the Payroll Manager to deliver an exceptional payroll service, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all statutory and external requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Accurately input payroll data, including tax codes, entitlements, National Insurance, pensions, and other deductions.
* Calculate final payments and issue P45s by the contractual pay date.
* Ensure correct statutory and voluntary deductions are made and remit payments accordingly.
* Prepare payroll summaries, reconcile control accounts, and remit payments to HMRC.
* Provide payroll information to HR, HMRC, and other departments as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* CIPP Qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience in payroll processing, including handling starters, leavers, changes, and reconciliations.
* Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
* Understanding of accounting principles, tax, NI, and pensions administration.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
