Secondary Teachers
Newstaff are seeking dedicated and adaptable Secondary Teachers with various subject specialisms to join our Bedfordshire team as supply cover teachers. As a Supply Teacher you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and support to Secondary school students across various year groups. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to quickly integrate into different classroom environments.
As a Supply Teacher you are in control of your own diary and can choose to workdays that fit around your personal commitments. It also provides you the opportunity to work in different schools across Bedfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the intellectual, social, and emotional development of students.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
• If required, mark all lessons you have taught that day.
• Provide constructive feedback to school colleagues regarding students’ progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field and QTS (qualified Teacher status).
• Proven experience teaching secondary school students, preferably in a variety of settings or be an ECT with work experience.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
