Job Description:
Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a Senior Housing Benefits Officer to work within the London Borough of Ealing.
Some Key Information is Highlighted Below:
Rate: £27.99 per hour.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Basic DBS required
Purpose Of Role:
* To work closely with the Team Managers to provide coaching & development support where required and ensure key performance and service targets.
* To cover for other Senior Officers on the processing teams in their absence
* To provide support to staff on the Reception and Call Centre teams.
* To be responsible for all aspects of the assessment of applications for Housing Benefit & Council Tax Support in accordance with the Benefit regulations. Specifically, the more complex cases identified by the managers
* To carry out benefit assurance work as and when required.
* To autonomously manage and distribute other work between the other seniors
* To provide support to staff on a daily basis in relation to legislative, technical and decision-making issues including advice on all aspects of Welfare Benefits for the effective operation of the Benefits Service.
* Other duties and responsibilities of a similar technical or administrative nature that may be allocated from time to time.
Experience: At least 3 years working within a Benefits environment with at least 6 months experience of assessing Housing Benefit claims.
