Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Batley, West Yorkshire

Start Date: September 2024
Role Overview: I am currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join the team here at Veritas Education. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with their education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, encouraging good behaviour and academic engagement.
* Assist in the development of individual behaviour plans and monitor progress.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
* Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a secondary school setting.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
* A commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of students.
* Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field (desirable).
