A forward-thinking and driven Project Manager is sought to join the collaborative and knowledgeable Consultancy in London.
This opportunity is perfect for a Project Manager who is eager to work on a broad range of exciting schemes across sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, education, healthcare, and defence.
The Construction Project Manager Role
As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in driving project success across various sectors. The successful Project Manager will find themselves in a supportive, collaborative working culture, with enhanced benefits and genuine scope for progression.
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing and agreeing on the client’s brief from inception, in conjunction with other consultants.
* Coordinating, managing, and communicating with clients, project stakeholders, and consultants.
* Undertaking change management, coordinating the design process, and managing project control both pre- and post-contract.
* Developing procurement strategies and overseeing procurement activities.
* Participating in risk, value, and opportunities management, including facilitating workshops.
* Chairing meetings with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
* Preparing and issuing reports such as Project Execution Plans (PEP), Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, and Progress Reports.
* Developing new business opportunities, including bid preparation and presentation.
The Construction Project Manager
* Experience in a similar role in the construction environment.
* Education sector experience is desirable but not mandatory
* HNC, HND, or a construction-related degree with relevant experience.
* Membership in a construction-related professional body (RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, etc.) is desirable.
* Understanding of building contracts and experience in contract administration.
* Ability to control day-to-day programming and planning.
* Clear understanding of risk management, including identification, management, mitigation, and risk transfer.
* Good IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
* Bid writing and presentation skills.
