Description
The Assistant Accountant will;
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
* Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
* Assist with end of year audits
* Maintain accurate and complete financial records
* Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
* Contribute to the development of the department’s goals, objectives, and systems
* Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses
* Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
* Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles
* Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office
* Attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
* Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
