Job Description:
TRANSPORT COORDINATOR
MONDAY - FRIDAY: 07.30 - 16.00
£27,000 - £32,000 PER ANNUM, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
People Solutions are hiring a Transport Coordinator to join our prestigious client based in Burntwood.
The successful applicant will need to be confident in road freight and export.

Day to Day Duties
Your day-to-day duties as a Transport Co-ordinator would be:
• Liaising with UK and international hauliers to organise collections
• Working closely with procurement and external suppliers to manage the delivery of raw materials
• Coordinating with team leaders to plan marshal lanes
• Printing and issuing UK and International paperwork for drivers
• Coordinating with logistics team leaders regarding deliveries and facilitating the smooth running of the yard areas
• Proactively trouble shooting transport issues
• Developing methods and systems of work to ensure the safe movement of transport to all areas of the warehouse and factory
• Accountable for maintaining high safety standards at all times
Essential Skills
Essential skills needed to be a Transport Co-ordinator would be:
• Confident in road freight and export
• Demonstrate excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Be well planned and able to manage their time and workload effectively
• Have confident communication and rapport building skills
• Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously under some pressure
• Have good analytical skills and be able to gather and interpret data to identify problems and opportunities
• Demonstrate an ability to make effective decisions
• Be adaptable to changing demands
• Bring a positive attitude and a flexible approach to the needs of the business in relation to tasks and overtime
• Good IT skills including MS Office
• Able to multitask
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience working in a similar environment would be beneficial
• Has worked on import
• Transport planning and organising
• Any qualifications within transport
