An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit multiple Supported Housing Officer’sbased in the North Watford area on a temporary to permanent contract for their brand new service.
Location: North Watford
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts: The rota includes one week of early shifts from 8am to 4pm, followed by a week of late shifts from 12pm to 8pm, 1 in 4 weekends
Pay: Up to £18.00 per hour umbrella
Duration: Temporary to permanent
Supported Housing Officer – The role involves:
* Manage a case load of service users in a brand new service accommodating single migrant children aged 16-18yrs old in the North Watford area
* Empowering residents to achieve independence.
* Collaborating with external agencies and professionals
* Organising activities and training to promote positive behaviour and development
* Promoting and maintaining optimal occupancy levels
* Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day to day tasks
* Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users including goal-setting
* Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level anti social behaviour and rent arrears
* Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
* Carry out regular estate inspections
* Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
* Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
* Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups
Additional requirements:
* Experience of providing tenancy support to vulnerable people, particularly homeless client groups/ young people
* An enhanced DBS check from within the last 3 years or willingness to obtain
* Excellent communication skills and basic IT skills are essential
