Job Title: Senior Management Accountant
Location: North London - 5 days on site
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 days on site

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in our financial management and reporting.
Job Summary: The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for producing comprehensive monthly management accounts and taking full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements. This role is crucial in providing accurate financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly Management Accounts:
* Prepare and produce detailed monthly management accounts for multiple sites.
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
* Analyze variances and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
* Profit and Loss Ownership:
* Take full ownership of the P&L statements for all sites.
* Monitor and review revenue and expenditure to ensure accuracy.
* Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of financial data.
* Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Provide financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Monitor budget performance and report on variances.
* Financial Reporting:
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Cost Control and Efficiency:
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
* Implement financial controls and procedures to enhance financial performance.
* Support operational teams in understanding and managing their budgets.
* Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
* Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
* Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management accounting role.
* Previous experience in a multi-site organization, preferably within the care or healthcare sector.
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
