A global, leading brand in the natural resources sector is currently seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their fast-paced team. Reporting into the FP&A Manager, responsibilities include:
* Preparation of budget and forecasts for business entities.
* Analysis of group forecasts, budget and plans with appropriate sensitivity analysis and operational and group review.
* Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end management accounts and performance reporting and analysis for senior leadership.
* Business partner with divisions outside of finance and budget holders on forecasts, budgets, and actual financial and operational results
* Ad hoc analysis, project work or research as required, for example as support for quarter end results to market or as part of change management.
* Cost and CAPEX review and analysis including trends and variances and follow-up of issues.
* Prepare and present financial analysis for quarterly external market presentations.
* Ensure continual improvement or system development projects and analysis.
This role is best suited to a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), who has the ability to understand and explain commercial and operational issues and performance. Candidates must have strong analytical and finance skills with experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial and sensitivity analysis. As this is a business partnering role, candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence. Previous experience working in the natural resources/ mining sector would be highly beneficial.
